Isn't having a colostomy the pits? But, I keep telling myself that's what I have to deal with to beat this cancer. It took me almost a year to find the right products and fit that worked for me. That trial and error stuff at the beginning was horrible. It's much easier now, but I still have issues with my body image. I still can't let my husband see me naked, and we're still working on the whole sex thing. Sorry if that's too personal, but I'm always curious too see how others deal with that part of it.

I am single and I have had a colostomy for 18 mths, I too took a long time to get the right fit. I am having more trouble adjusting to work again, always afraid it will leak or smell.

It will be two years now since my colostomy and I am having a hard time getting a new life again. I lost my job during treatments and I am now working casual. How long until life feels normal again?
