@katiefnp....Hi Katie, I know you don't come on this site too often and neither do I. I wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and hoping things are going OK. I was laid off my job and I am relieved as I am facing another surgery and also medicare decisions. My head is spinning!

My agent steered me away from the advantage plans. Don't remember why. She also said plan F is going away so I was advised to go with part G. It's the same as part F except you pay the 128 deductible. The reduction in premium more than covers it.

@debsweb18 I don't think that we have access to Part G in Massachusetts....I could be wrong. In any event, I am going to stick with original/traditional medicare. Just due to all the cancer and health problems, I want to be sure to be able to see my providers. Thanks!

10 yrs ago I was looking for a supplemental plan for my husband. He wanted what his employer provided. I called just 3 companies & found what he wanted: Plan F with AARP United Healthcare; Medicare Parts A, B & D; drug mail order. He was diabetic when he retired & I had BC under Central States plan which paid for everything. I have no co-pays. Follow BetsyeM's, CAB's, BarbarainBham's advice. You also need to look at your finances. Do what you can afford & protect your income.
