I was just reading your posts about working with kids. I know a very difficult point for me was having to tell my partner's children about my diagnosis and answering their questions. I noticed that the attitude I had towards my cancer, such as laughing about it and not acting as if I couldn't do anything helped not only them but other people. The more depressed I was about it and the more I felt sorry for myself, the harder it was for others to deal with it and be around me. I have my moments where I do feel sorry for myself, but I try to remember that things could be a lot worse and people have had to go through much more difficult things in life than breast cancer. I am trying to be strong and focus on the fact that somehow I am determined to make something positive out of my experience.
