Other Care (Physical Therapy): I have been going to physical therapy twice a week. The goal is to regain to function in the arm where the lymph nodes have been removed.

Procedure or Surgery (Breast Reconstruction (Flap)): The TRAM flap surgery was done at the same time as the double mastectomy. In total the surgery was 13 hours. It is a tough surgery to recover from. You have to be ready to follow all directions feel discomfort for an extended period of time and be out of work for 6-8 weeks. I am going to be going back in a couple weeks and I still have difficulties sitting in a chair for a long period of time.

Good afternoon. I would be interested in knowing of anyone who may have had TRAM reconstruction. I am about 7 weeks recovery from bi-lateral mastectomy and recontruction. Am having some issues and would like to discuss your experience.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): 4 rounds of A/C over 8 weeks. Then 12 T over12 weeks. Lost my hair lashes and brows but I came through it ok. Worked a 40 hour work week and only missed 2 days. Tired a lot but other than that most other things tolerable.
