I am being specific to Single parents for a reason. Please don't take offense at this, but now imagine being your husband without you. I have been lucky to find someone to help me, but I feel like I am imposing on her. If I can get this support group up and running the people we help won't feel like they are imposing, because that is the expected.

I have 2 little ones 2 and 4 and I am not a single parent but it is still hard. My hubby has to work to support our family and it is hard trying to find resourse to put my kids in like a daycare or what not because we can not afford it. it's ruff to have kids and cancer but it's also an amazing joy.

I have two children, ages 7 and 10. Although I don't have a diffinitive diagnosis yet, and am having my first appointment with my orthopedic oncologist this week, the juggling I had to do for my children for one day in Chicago was crazy. I live 90 miles from the doctor and my appointment would require me to leave at 6am on a school day to avoid rush hour traffic and get to my appointment on time. Fortunately, my sister is keeping the girls overnight and will take them to school, and then my ex will pick them up from school and keep them till I get home. I'm hoping to be able to consolidate all my testing and appointments so I don't have to drive into the city as much.

I am trying to find single parents who have gone through this, but there isn't even an online community for this. This is wrong, we need help more than others because our fears and side effects affect our children. (I also live far away from family so it is a little more difficult still)
