Oh No (Diagnosed): I went to see my pulmonolpgist because my breathing just wasn't very good
I have asthma and COPD So I thought different meds... Being told there is
A possibility of lung cancer.... WOW ... Wasn't expecting that . By the way I
Not a smoker! Was sent that day for CAT SCAN.
Sure enough dr didn't like how it looked next step bronchoscopic with biopsy
Next day results for sure CANCER ...
So many things going through my mind , can't be real has to be a mistake right
Wrong .... It was real no mistake You have cancer.
Here it is Nov 2011 before the holidays and my birthday
Do I tell the kids now or wait until after the holidays ... Well my choice
Was made by my youngest son who is 31. He was there with Dad when
Biopsy was done was there when dr informed us of results
He said Mama. We all love you and will be with you through all of this
The other 3 have to know ... So at Thanksgiving when all 4 kids
And spouses were there I told them all I had something I needed to
Tell them all , while we are all together, so I gained
My composure and just told them ,,, they took it better than
I had thought they would . Of course many question that I can't
Answer yet but will soon as I can .
Next step PET SCAN on Dec 8 2011. Found out what kind and stage
And treatment plan. So this is how my story began on OH NO. !!!!
And continues ..... I will survive this ... Just a minor set back,,,,over 8 years ago
