    Keith424 shared an experience

Oh No (Diagnosed): I had rectal bleeding which could be explained by hemarrhoids but we decided to do a colonoscopy as a precaution. They found a mass right where the rectum and colon meet which was oozing blood. Proctologist said it is cancer but is highly curable. I am still trying to wrap my heart and mind around what has happened. I have a life-long struggle with anxiety and have been going through a very effective therapy (EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprogramming). For the first time in my life I felt like I had the anxiety under control and was looking forward to the future - including starting a support group for people with anxiety and depression. Then this happened. I am really worried about my wife, who has had a life of even greater trauma than me. We are reaching out to family, friends, church, and looking for support groups.

Keith, I had a very similar experience in the symptoms and the way it was found. There are many great ways to treat this type of cancer. You might want to read my experience and feel free to ask me any questions. You can beat this !! I have now been cancer free for over four years !!
