Hi Everyone, I just wanted to give an update..I am doing fantastic! I had surgery and because of the clear margins didn't need radiation. I had 8 rounds of chemo - last chemo treatment was 2/16/12. It was rough but I made it through. I lost 20 pounds, had no appetite, nausea, lost my taste buds. I will now have breast reconstruction surgery on 6/6/12. I will have my right breast removed at that time also. To those about to go through the journey be encouraged it gets so much better and you will make it through!

Oh No (Diagnosed): I had a mammogram in April results came back normal. I felt a lump in my breast on July 1st. I was scared but didn't think it would be cancer because of my recent mammogram and neither did my doctor thought it was a cyst that would just be drained. Here I am, recently had left mascectomy, will have right breast removed at the time of breast reconstruction. I will be starting chemo soon more scared about that than having breast removed.
