I had one port for one year before it quit working, the replacement I kept for 15 years. I never had any problems, side effects, or anything with it. The surgery to install was simple, quick and no problems, the surgery to take it out years later was even easier. Hope your issues go away.

Do not let your doctors dismiss your symptoms. Find out which drug(s) were used to knock you out & bring you back. The headache might be a simple allergic reaction.

If you have difficulty finding answers, consult a neurologist. May I assume your headache & neck pain are now resolved? If not, assume you are allergic to something which was done (or maintain a belief in coincidence) and seek help in resolving the issue.

There are over the counter herbs which may resolve inflammation or infection but this isnt a sort of thing you can simply ignore.

It could be from whatever drugs they used to sedate you. I would ask for the names of the medications so you will know for future reference. It could be an allergy that was happened with the drugs.
