Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. Also, I was wondering if you would consider making a video for WhatNext sometime in the future similar to the one made by kalindria. We have so many newly diagnosed and recurrent ladies visiting the site. I. Know you’ve experiences would be very helpful. Sending you wheelbarrows of support and hoping this new cocktail does the trick.

I am sorry to read you have not yet kicked cancer to the curb permanently. There is good reason for optimism though and many tools in that medical tool chest. I am not sure you will lose your hair, I know Taxol was the culprit for me during frontline treatment. Did your doctor say you would have hair loss?

The gemzar causes hair to thin, but not fall out like taxol. But she said carboplatin also can cause hair loss. She said we'll just have to wait and see. I probably won't shave my head this time, just cut it short so the thinness isn't so obvious. It's long enough to put in a little ponytail again now and I always wore it long before the cancer diagnosis.

Kirvin, how are you doing lady. See your interest in maintenance drugs, are you presently on a maintenance drug or in a clinical trial?

I was on maintenance for 16 months, first lymparza, and then Avastin. My CT scan on April 10 showed it was back in the same lymph nodes as the last time. So we're adding radiation to the mix to see if we can make the NED period last longer. Doing carboplatin, gemzar, and Avastin for the chemo so it's supposed to be somewhat milder and not so hard on my neuropathy. I'm bummed--I really like having my hair back. LOL. I like feeling good. Trying not to be a big baby about it. Thanks for asking. I'm sort of a stalker on What Next. I read everything, even if I don't always comment. Hope you're doing well.
