Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): I had brain surgery 7-27-17 and then radiation 3 weeks later... tumors have shrunk and I do not need chemo now.

Celebration (Remission): I was in remission for almost 5 years... but I found out last week that I have 3 tumors in my brain that are most likely from the cancer.

I feel great. The radiation (TrueBeam) shrank the tumors and I do not need chemo now. I will be checked every 3 months. It is a very good thing to do the tissue testing.

SUCH WONDERFUL NEWS. I am so happy for you, and good to know that even tumors in the brain can be treated. I was not familiar with how tumors to the brain were treated.
Best wishes for a forever remission.

Side Effects (Constipation): I was not able to eat or drink much so I got constipation. That went away as I was able to eat weeks later.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I did not have a hard time with chemo. But that was after they got the right one for me. I had an allergic reaction to my second treatment and needed a change of chemo. For some reason I did not get many side effects others get.

Procedure or Surgery (Debulking surgery): I had a full Hysterectomy along with my debulking surgery. I was in the hospital 6 weeks because the fluid in my lung was not removed b4 surgery and so my oxygen level low keeping my in ICU for a week. Then the surgery site opened and was not healing. I was not able to eat due to pain in my abdomen after eating a small amount.
