Procedure or Surgery (2018 cat scan & PET indicated possible metastasis to bones, spleen, lymph nodes. Had surgical biopsy of suspicion nodes. They were clear, but the removed spleen since it can’t biopsy spleen. So grateful it was not malignant. The diagnosis was sarcoidosis ): I have a wonderful oncologist & my surgeon is amazing. He managed to maneuver around all the mesh implanted from wound repair & I recovered more quickly than expected. However, no spleen leaves me immune compromised.

Side Effects (Nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy)): I’m still dealing with painful neuropathy in my feet. It leaves me vulnerable to falling.
