I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in July 2011. I have finished chemo and radiation and am doing well.
My primary tumor was never found despite every test known to man. I had 21 lymph nodes removed and the cancer was found in two.
Has anyone else experienced this? I understand it is rare that a primary site is not foun, but I have not found anyone else with this situation.
    Thanks a bunch.

Could be lymphedema. Go to .stepup-speakout.org for an excellent self education. I have lymphedema in my chest, arm, side, back after a modified radical, failed due to infection reconstruction, full axillary dissection. Kineseo taping works best for me, good luck, lymphedema often under recognized/treated. Lin

Thank you luv2knit944 and Lindy. It is good to know that someone else has had this same experience. Certainly I knew about lymphedema, but thought it only applied to swelling of the arm and hand.
I am going to make an appointment with my surgeon and talk about what options, if any, there are. Am thinking if it is lymphedema there is not much to be done. I initially tried binding with an ace bandage, but to no avail. That was after my initial surgery. Have not tried it after this one.
Will let you know what I learn after my next appointment.
      Thank you both very much.

Yes, two years later, I still have neurothopy following Taxol. I took Neurotin until recently but it was making me really sleepy and I determined that I was really getting no better. Mine is not as bad as it was but I really doubt it'll ever go away completly. Let me know if you find help!

I did when I was going through chemo. It went away for me gradually with time.

I am almost one year post chemo and the neuropathy in my hands is about 90% resolved. I can finally feel temperatures and textures. I still have pretty severe neuropathy in my feet and I just had an EMG done. The neurologist said he could not pick up any response from my sensory nerves in my feet (actually from about mid-calf down). He said it might be another year or two until it comes back, if at all. To me, it was more important that the sensations in my hands return. I can live with my feet this way, if need be. Besides...I'm no longer ticklish. Nice little perk!

My oncologist recommended taking a B12 supplement and truly believe it helped. When we were on vacation, I wasn't very diligent about taking it and the neuropathy seemed to worsen a bit.

I have neuropathy in my feet and fingers from the chemo. Am hoping to see some improvement in the next six months, but not very hopeful.
Is there anyone who has had this experience and, if so, have you found anything that helps?
