First of all, workit, I hope you are well. Second - how ironic. You friended me and my wife works for LLS! Have you ever visited the Indy office? They are an amazing organization!

Landmark, sorry to say, I'm not a big supporter of LLS, not a detractor, but I expect more of them (LRF too) regarding exercise then they are doing, which is nominal, in spite of having the Team in Training. I've talked with a number of them here locally and decided that I need to go over their head nationally since I'm way into the research beyond their comprehension - shear stress, ROS, lymph flow dynamics, vascular normalization, tumor hypoxia, etc. (national scientific advisors have a better understanding of my interests).

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Chemo started December 4, 2013. One week later, she has joint pain and nausea, but has not yet vomited. Very tired. Trying to work through the treatments.

Oh No (Health insurance issue): Helping my sister who has Stage IIA Breast Cancer. Her insurance is terrible! Very poor coverage. Looking at having $36K out of pocket for this year and next! Have received assistance from chemo drug company and from the (not sure what it is called) white blood cell booster drug company for those costs, but overall, very overwhelming. Before her first treatment, with diagnosis only, the doctors and hospital have already billed over $55K.

Please type in "financial resources" in the question tab and you will find some helpful suggestions...also be sure to contact the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen for the Cure...explain her situation...if she is working and must stop she may qualify for disability...also speak with a social worker at her cancer center as they know of many more resources than I do...good luck...keep us informed...God bless you both...thanks for caring for her.
