I spoke with my sister today, she said that her therapist called her oncologist to make sure she was given an apt next week. She now has an apt and will get more info about her diagnosis and tell this Dr. that she wants to switch to another Dr. She obviously does not feel she has the right to switch Dr.s even though this office has not been effective in her treatment and follow up.

HHi Tammylou, I am interested in your journey as it seems your diagnosis and treatment were similar to my sister's. She however has reoccurant lung cancer now in both lungs. She is confused as her Dr. hasn't kept up with her apts and there have been other issues with his office. I think she may go to someone different with a great reputation.

I am waiting to see what my sister wants to do about getting a second opinion and possibly a new Dr. There have been many problems with his office no returned calls, failure to give apts. within reasonable time etc. I recommended other Dr.'s in her immediate vacinity. I live in another state far from her and my family but I keep in touch all the time
