Celebration (Anniversary): I celebrated monthly for the first year. Now I celebrate just on the anniversary of the surgery.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): The treatments were not as frieghtening as I had suspected. Side effects were right on target as the onocologist predicted. Nausea was controlled by meds, the ackwardness in the limbs was obvious by week three. My legs felt like they weighed more than my body. My pallet was gone, couldn't taste much for the 4 months on treatment. I felt like I was in a fog the entire time, did not drive, the hair loss was the worst but eventually I accepted and didn't wear a wig. Two months after I finished treatments, I started felling myself again. Unfortunately, brainfog has continued for the last three years. No change yet.

Procedure or Surgery (Double Mastectomy): The surgery fine until I woke up in the recovery room. The pain was intense, however, the meds kept it controlled. Going home was a little terrifying, but slowly I adjusted to the pain and after 2.5 weeks was off the pain meds.
