I didn't get to the point of burns that were peeling bad, just a little. After I finished mine started healing right away, I think within 2 weeks you couldn't tell I had a burn before, my neck was a different color, some from the surgery, but the burn was gone. My neck was almost black.

I am no expert, but if I were you I'd get a second opinion!! I had my diagnosis earlier this year... 1.5cm tumor and 3 nodes involved and got the whole ball of wax - mastectomy, chemo, rads and 10 years tamoxifen... sorry you have to go thru it again!

I would get a second opinion. Ask for statistics and maybe change hospitals.

I have to agree about getting a second opinion. You have already had a local recurrance; at this point, I'd tend to want to be as aggressive as possible this time around to do everything you can to get it wiped out permanently. Of course, no one has a crystal ball as to the future, but if you take an aggressive posture, and you do end up with further issues later on, at least you won't be having to cope with the "Would it have been different if I had done...." question in your heart.

Sending you lots of healing energy!
