i too have been on Lateral for 2 1/2 yrs or so and have the same hair loss. i went to the skin specialist at sloan and he asked me to have Biotin, Biosil {available on Amazon} and use Rogain for women. I haven't used Rogain but with the medicine and a herbal treatment for Alopecia (the name of the symptoms we have) from Neet's Herbal is helping me. i do see some small hair growing and the patches filling a little. Its only been 4 weeks so i don't know if it will get better. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Read the reviews of Biosil on Amazon to get an idea. Hope this helps you. Love & best wishes

Thanks so much for your informative answers to my question. I will most certainly try your suggested treatments. Hugs to all that answered. I am very glad to be alive and thin hair is not ruling my life. Thanks again for your responses.

I've been on Letrozole for three months and have noticed a lot of my hair falling out the last few weeks. It never occurred to me that it could be due to this drug!! Ugh.

It has been 11months since I had the lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy. I am still experiencing pain in the breast. Is this normal?

to answer you question Yes. Call your oncologist and they should refer you to a lymphedema clinic or specialist. My surgical arm had just started swelling, I'm only 4 months out from surgery. When your are is swollen does it feel tight? That's what mine is doing now.
As far as the pain, it probably is scar tissue. They will be able to help you with that as well. From what I have read the sooner this is addressed the better it is managed long term - One woman I spoke with just last night said her swelling never came back after going through the physical therapy at the lymphedema clinic.

Jus this morning I was telling my husband I was having pain in my surgical breast and it really bothered me. I just 1 year past my mastectomy and node biopsy. Since I had several surgeries on top of the mastectomy I thought it could be scar tissue. I also think it is normal to be concerned. A friend of mine wears a sleeve almost all the time and she says it has helped her swelling. Good luck.

I think you should ask your doctor for a referral to a lymphedema therapist as soon as you can. If you do have lymphedema you should learn how to manage it before it gets more troublesome. Physical therapy will hopefully help with your surgical site pain, too.
