Molly72, I also went through a bad divorce and got nothing from my x-husband. That doesn't make divorced people a bad manager. And, I wasn't referring to the x-wife in this case, but the posts seemed to be pointed towards her x-husband and saying he was a bad manager. I frankly don't know enough about these 2 people and don't even care enough to make judgments on them. It is not my place. Divorce sucks financially. Hopefully, it will not make any difference to the level of care that my friends are receiving at the fine hospital they are going to in Chicago. It has saved their lives. I am hoping that the emphasis at this point would be more towards the lives that are being saved and let the divorce not be an issue. As long as it doesn't make any difference to the fine level of treatment they seem to be receiving.
And BoiseB, my X-husband was abusive and threatened to kill me. My parents disowned me because of my divorce and said that I was going to XXX since I was divorced. They said they wish that he would've killed me because then he would've been the one going to XXX. So yes, several of us have suffered mental and physical abuse. And frankly, I think that this abuse led to my cancer.

My feeling is if you are a caring owner/CEO instead of amassing billions, buying multiple planes, homes, fine jewelry, etc, why not put some of that back into research/innovation. I stand by my opinion that they are a standard of care cancer spa. Yes, nice care, meals, religious offerings. amenities. The divorce made the news because of the extreme wealth. I am sure the owner/CEO manages the bottom line, professional medical staff, nutritionists, rehab specialists, provide the care. If you can afford them & have a second opinion that supports their recommended protocol go ahead. I put my trust in MD Anderson. BTW I was suppose to die 4 years ago. I had standard of care locally, apparently I am a super responder & I even skipped a recommended oral chem due to cost. I took the class, I interfaced with Cancer Centers of America representatives.

Lindy said it quite well..... if one has millions to spare, put it back into the business, whether that is research or special funds for those who do not have the means or right insurance to use this hospital.
Don't flaunt your wealth. Use it to make a better world.

You are at one end of Texas & I am almost at the top. Hi, I am in Grapevine near Dallas. I recommend Inspire & Smart Patient sites. Like here there are some very knowledgeable folks to share experiences & research. I hope you have the best care possible.
