Hi @Patisblonde. I know its very stressful. I was diagnosed in October with my white blood count at 300k. Never was picked up before, but I did not have a lot of blood work done in the past. I too had severe stress with the upcoming talk of treatments. I started in January with treatment. I am taking chemo - FCR (fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, Rituxan). I have 6 cycles of chemo to take = 3 days a month. I have 2 more cycles to do. I tolerate the chemo very well. I am sick on the night of the 4th day, I have the nausea medicine but that was not helping. They gave me an anti anxiety medicine which helped me out tremendously. No side effects, no loss of hair. the only thing is they give steroids the 3 days i have chemo and I have the steroid munchies. I want to eat consistently. That lasts for about 5 days. Other then that it has not at all been as bad as I thought. Do you know what treatment you will be given? Feel free to ask anything else. I did yoga before starting which helped out a lot. Then I took up guitar, teaching myself, just to do something new. The stress before is the worse because it is the unknown. Try to stay present, it's a hard thing to do. I pray and read my devotionals. I am here for you!

Hi thanks for the feedback, what cancer do you have? I wrote in my blog what drugs they wanted to try, I have CLL leukemia, I now have severe pain on the right side of my ribs, and a cough, hope its not enlarged lymph nodes in my lungs? I have had lots of stress on trying to sell my home, it is in such bad shape, should be condemned and tore down but owe on a mortgage, also can't get an apt in this area due to my disability $ being so so low, may have to move out of state, just no where to live, hardly no friends or family, so so alone. Also bought a new car but the experience was so bad!!! Will never go thru that again, My doc said I have 17 yrs to live and I"m only 60. Keep writing, I also said No to chemo!! Pat

OH, thanks, I'm going to save your message to me so when I see my doctor can discuss things, I'm afraid to do chemo, I'm ok with immune booster medications. I live alone, no friends, and a 1hr commute to the cancer ctr. there's no assistance for rides etc, as I live too far out from town. Feel free to keep communicating with me. Thanks again Lindyver!!

    Lindyver shared an experience

Celebration (blood results): Blood results looking amazing. Instead of 6 cycles if after my 3rd cycle levels are normal then I will have a bone marrow biopsy and if that is clean - I am finished!

Congrats! I hope mine will be like yours and go into remission or gone. I am most likely going to have treatment in the next 7 wks. I'm so scared!!

Well, it was still amazing results. I had the flow cytometry report and I have minute abnormal b-cells. So I am doing 2 more cycles before bone marrow biopsy.
