Side Effects (Lymphedema): I have lymphedema in my right leg as a result of the cancer and lymphandectomy. I've been getting treatment since November 2012. I have enlarged lymph nodes in my left groin from the excess fluid, and it is hard to tell if the nodes are enlarged only from fluid or if the cancer may be back. I'm due for another CT June 7 but may request it earlier. If the cancer is back, I'd like to start chemo. If not, I need to know this feeling is normal for the lymphedema.

Celebration (Remission): After 9 cycles, my CT in March 2013 showed no noticeable disease. I get to take a break!

Drug or Chemo Therapy: Began chemo on July 31, 2012. Started with cisplatin, docetaxol, 5-fu. Extremely sick for 1.5 of 3 week cycle. After 3 cycles we changed from cisplatin to carboplatin and I was prescribed stronger nausea meds. Less nausea, more exhaustion. Still get mouth sores. But I'm able to get out of bed and be present with my daughter.
