I had uterine papillary serous carcinoma (UPSC) stage 1 at age 59. It is rare and aggressive. Was treated with brachytherapy and chemo. I have been cancer free since finishing treatment in April 2013. Still being follow with blood Ca-125 test every 6 months and a vaginal cuff smear as recommended by my oncologist. USPSC has not as much statistical info as other types of uterine cancers because of its rarity. I suspect I will continue being follow up for a long time but soon I hope only once a year. I opted not to have a port since I was only going to have 6 carbo-taxol treatments; I had good arm veins and did not wish to undergo the maintenance of a port after my chemo ended as you will probably keep it a while longer, it depends on your Dr. God be with you.

Symptom Management (Neuropathy recurrent in fingers and toes; severe dehydration): Cannot seem to get enough liquid to stay in me in large part due to recurrent and extended diarrhea. After second chemo treatment My fingers and feet are numb. Seems like big fall and burn or dropping dangers.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Taxol and carboplatin. What could go wrong has gone wrong from first treatment.
