In the beginning I was getting a Herceptin weekly and then it was changed to one treatment 3x the dose once every three weeks. With the weekly dose I was fatigued for three days but able to take care of myself. With the 3x dose I was down flat unable to reach for the water that was handed to me.

Hi, how are you today. Liked it better yesterday with the sun shining. Finished the two weeks of Xeloda but have had diarrhea since Wed so am trying to get that under control. Other than than everything is going as expected. Meeting at UW did not shed much new light on anything other than to go back to weekly Herceptin and ask more questions about side effects, treatments, etc. We had a birthday gathering for Mike and I on Sunday and used your cookie bouquet as the birthday cake so it was a big hit. Thanks for thinking about me. Martha

Side effects from a triple dose of Herceptin

Louie, think you answered your question. I get the triple dose as well and from the start of chemo the one thing I always kept in mind was to drink lots and lots and lots of water to flush all that stuff out. I am fatigued, and I have body aches - not anything like they were during chemo and rad. treatment; I just keep drinking water and started Aleve 2x a day.
