Decision Point (I don't know if I should try to have a baby after cancer.): So here I am wondering what would be the right choice for me: to get pregnant or not, after cancer. The decision will not only affect me, but my love ones as well. I am not sure how viable it would be for me to get pregnant after cancer. My Onco is not thrilled about me getting pregnant but she is not completely against it. There is no study showing pregnancy would bring my cancer back, but theoretically speaking, it is possible. As you know, pregnancy raises the level of estrogen in the body by a lot, and I will not be protected if cancer were to develop again. I still have another year to decide but time is running! Side Effects (Constipation): Doxorubicin, the chemo drug known as “the red devil,” brought the devil out of me after my second infusion, in the form of terrible constipation. I was not able to move at times or eat because I felt so bloated. It was a painful experience for me. I bled for weeks. Not to scare anyone. I suggest you take stool softeners days before chemo and during chemo so to help prevent this terrible side effect. Also, eat light and drink a lot of water. I am glad it's over!! (For now...)
