Thank you. It's been 3 weeks now and things are healing good. I have some pain, I guess from muscles and stuff. I taked to the doctor yesterday and he said it is to be expected. He told me to take it easy and to remember it was a major surgery even if it was laproscopic.

Hi Mark, I noticed that you indicate you have cancer of an unknown primary. Can you give us a bit more information about your situation such as the symptoms you had, what testing shows, what your doctors have said? You ask in your decision point if you should go through treatment. That is a question each of us faces with the diagnosis. Once you assess your own personal situation the question may change to "how much/which kinds of treatment should I do". Have you been to a major cancer center? Have you had a second option? Sorry for more questions than answers, but the information will help all here to better comment about the options they have made. Marie

When you say interesting, I hope you mean with your theater group and not with your health. I don't know what the limit is on the message on the wall posts. Perhaps I will just keep typing and see what happens...lol. I am doing ok health wise. Still fat and sassy...lol. Well I am at the bottom of the block and it has let me type another line. Have you been able to continue your theater work? Hope so as I know how important that is to you. Well the lines keep opening up so maybe there isn't as much limit as we thought...lol. So type away and let me know about those interesting months. Marie

Oh, now this is a different comment "block". When I commented from the home page, I only got one continuous line. With this post, I got an email letting me know you had left a comment on my wall, so when I clicked on the link in the email, it brought me to your comment, and when I clicked on "comment" it now gives me the comment block to respond in. Much nicer... but I wonder why it doesn't do that from the home page? Weird!

Yes... I'm definitely keeping up with my theatre activities which is great! The only ones I haven't been able to do is to attend our outdoor theatre this summer. Once the sun goes down, it gets a tad bit too chilly and because of the health issues I've had, I just can't risk putting myself in danger.

I'm not sure where to begin... let me try to do a summary, but you know me, even when I try to be quick I end up typing a whole saga! LOL!

Back at the beginning of Feb, I was put on the Irinitocan I remember asking on CSN what sorts of problems folk who had been on it before had had... but for the most part, no one seemed to have problems. A few had the diahrrea, a few had sporadic nausea, but for the most part everyone handled it well. Until me ;) After the first treatment I was bedridden for 2 weeks... so they lowered my dose to 70%. That was much better but still, I just never felt well on it. Almost from the beginning I developed bronchitis... something that I used to get quite often when I was younger. Both my onc and GP said that chemo does not cause or trigger bronchitis, I must have picked up a bug. Well that was the beginning of the downside. The bronchitis got worse and worse and then I developed "bronchialspasms" which supposedly is very common with people who have chronic bronchitis. I have never had them before... this is where, when you exhale you wheeze. It was getting harder and harder to do any kind of stairs, or walk any more than a couple of feet. It was decided. I really thought thought the chemo had something to do with it but the doctors thought it was that I had a compromised immune system so the bronchitis wasn't healing on it's own. Well, in June I ended up not being able to breathe. I was gasping for air so had to go to Emergency. That's when my oncologist decided that this wasn't a regular case of asthma (I have never had asthma in my life) but that it was a reaction to the Irinotecan. The longer I was on that chemo, the worse the reaction. I told her that I don't think I can go through another treatment of it and she agreed. So I was going to get a 5 week break and we would start Vectibix in August. Well, it turned out that, even with antibiotics I'm not over the bronchitis or broncialspasms. The asthma is gone, but then that's because we are no longer on the chemo... but the bronchitis and wheezing is still here. It's much better than it was, just not totally gone.

So, next plan is I start the Vectibix on Sept 9th. I'm so glad I never have to do the Irinotecan again... that was a horrid 5 months!! :)

Hehehe... well, there must be a limit because the bloxk is jumping up and down and not letting me see what I'm typing now :)

Hey Lovekitties! I don't think I ever saw this post of yours, so didn't answer it... and that was 5 months ago . As you can see, it's taking me a lot longer to figure out this posting system from the others. Anywho... I'm back in the land of the living... had some ups and downs but seem to be coming out of the downs :) Talk to you soon!

Hi Cheryl, if you go to the top of the page on right side you will be "people". This will bring up list of all folks or you can limit display by diagnosis. As far as the comments go, at the end of the initial display if you click "read more" you can see the rest of the message. On responses to questions, I think it just says "expand". Hope that helps. Ahh! It was the "People" part I was missing. Thanks!! I'll figure this out... in the meantime, how are you doing? I've had an interesting past couple of months, but it would be hard to write it all down when we are only given this one line to type into

Hey lovekitties... I'm a little confused with this set up. I can see how one can post a comment to reply to what someone said on their wall, but can't find how/where you can look up folk. Also, this comment line only displays one long line of text...
