Hi. I hope all is going well with your husband. I'm not in treatment. Had surgery with intraperitoneal chemo back in September. We decided on no further treatment at this time because the known risks of further treatment greatly outweigh the questionable benefits. As my cancer is slow-growing, and I have a great quality of life, we decided that watchful waiting is the way to proceed.

Surgery went well. They left 95% of my kidney, removed the appendix. I went in Monday 7:30, surgery took 5 hours or so, went home the next day at 3 pm.Post op pain was quite bearable. I took narco's for 3 days now I'm just on Tylenol.Sloan Kettering is an excellent facility with World class doctors.

Sorry you are going through this trying time Ponzlaw. My husband was diagnosed with Appendix Cancer a little over a year ago. He is doing really well. It sounds like yours was caught early which is good news. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for the nice message and glad to hear about your husband doing well. My surgery is a week from Tuesday at Sloan Kettering to remove the appendix and a small kidney tumor (the kidney tumor is localized so they dont take out the kidney) im nervous about surgery but dealing with it:)
