I can relate. I've had bowel disease since my early 20's and that's forty years of it now. I get the bathroom trips, too. On days when I fear I'll not make it to the bathroom, I take prescription Lomitil (slows bowels) and I can go without having to run to one, if there is one where I'm at, you know the drill.
As for teeth problems, I've hit brick walls too. One surgeon says, no problem, we'll do posts and denture for $20k while another says, too severe of bone problems, nothing to be done, just live with the pain.
It sounds to me like you have a myriad of worrisome issues but I will tell you this: a woman, aged 75 had full implant dentures installed and has done well, she's now 93 so, these dentists who focus on our age are full of it. In your case, you have heart and anesthesia related concerns so that's different.
I want you to know I completely understand the bathroom routine but I haven't found any doctor interested in trying to alleviate the symptoms.

Pauline, I feel like what I'm reading was written by me for the most part. I also have bowel problems for most of my life and understand the bathroom runs. I also know how frustrating it is to go to a doctor or ER on the worst days and have tests done that provide no answers. Right now I have something going on with the gut but all I get is 'head scratching' from the doctors. Oh, yeah, the dental problems are driving me nuts but no one seems to want to do anything about it. What's your experience been in that area?

I had bridges on top after or while having radiation in 2012.Well in Dec of 2016 the fron 5-6 teeth came out and had to have surgery in Mass.Gen by residents that claim they're surgeons. on Feb 3,2017.Then the dentist had me go back in the beginning of April for 2 bottom teeth and one top bridge .I'm skipping a lot of words here, but been in pain since that surgery. Been living on Tylenols since.I'm alergic to 21 medications and one anesthesia medication.Have an app with the dentist on May 3rd.God only knows what's next.I think they're using me as a guiney pig for money since 1998.Also I'm not a candidate for gen anesthesia nor inplants because of my age and medical conditions according to the (make believe surgeons/residents that didn't graduate yet) at Mass Gen.Hosp.Plus I'm more sick for about a month now and don't know why.The doctors don't have any solutions>just tests that come out normal. And this is just a couple of things going on.My cardiologist app.is coming up in June for the bleeding in my heart from the open heart surgery in 2014.My primary doctor also.My GI doctor is on May 5th.

Do they know what causes this. Inherited? Is it progressive? XXX, as if cancer and the treatment side effects are not enough to deal with. Is there medication that helps?

Never was told.Have many problems in getting inf. from the med field more so now then ever. They look at symtoms and treat that with pills instead of looking at the causes and what it is. And when they don't know somethng they say you're fine and send you home and you die that same night.I'm so tired of chasing doctors to get inf. or to do anything about anything.I called yeterday morning to see if the urologist got in touch with the primary doctor about my kat scan from last week. The nurse told me she was going to give her the message again and she'll call me.STILL WAIITING!

Can certainly understand the frustration. We have had blunders and lack of follow through at times with my husband's and my medical care. Have not seen our primary care physician for a year now. Always see his physican's assistant.
