Hi mikeygsmom, welcome to the site. I am sorry you have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Cancer is such a sneaky disease . I was diagnosed in 2013 with stage IIIC . macfightsback is right, you are in an earlier stage of the disease when it is highly treatable. I also second getting a good gynecologist oncologist for your medical care. . My gynecologist had been my gynecologist for over twenty years but when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer I traveled over two hours away for my medical care by a gynecologist oncologist because there were none in my small town. That is how important these specialists are. I can not tell you any of the treatments will be easy, but they are DOABLE! I came to WhatNext looking for answers when I was diagnosed and found a welcoming community of survivors and caregivers. Please look the site over and do not hesitate to ask questions or chat with other survivors. We are all here for each other and we are all stronger together.

Hi JStar, welcome to WhatNext. I found this site almost six years ago when I was diagnosed with stage IIIC ovarian cancer at the age of 66. WhatNext was a lifeline for me when I was undergoing my treatments. Although everyone responds differently to those treatments, we are all united fighting this xxx disease. Look the site over, reach out with questions and perhaps share some of your experiences. You can talk to any WhatNexter in their wall. Wishing you better days ahead and sending you wheelbarrows of support.
