Radiation (External radiation ): Daily drives for radiation sucked. Especially because I was a 30 min drive, by myself, daily. I woud sometimes fall asleep right after radiation in the changing room.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Chemo was difficult for me. I had 4 weeks with the "red devil" AC combo. Even with the anti-emetic (nausea) medication, I was very sick. I had headaches, fatigue, nausea...I then had 12 weeks of Taxol with Hercepton. that was not bad. I continued the Herceptin for a year.

Procedure or Surgery (Mastectomy): My diagnosis was confirmed on a Monday and that Friday I had a mastectomy. It was all very fast and unbelieveably overwhelming.

Oh No (Diagnosed): 14 months after my mom was diagnosed (she was 60 at age of diagnosis), at 32 years old I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. My mom was the first person I told, and we could not believe that with no family history, we had both been diagnosed .
