      Hello:
Congratulations for being a survivor. I have the absolutely best oncologist in the state. Dr. Paul Wassermann, Scottsdale - He is the most caring, kindest doctor and have been going to him for three years now.

I go to Dr. Gerald Kato in Scottsdale. He's with Pinnacle Oncology. I switched to him after losing confidence in my first MO. He was recommended by my radiation onc, physical therapist and breast surgeon. I really like all of his staff also.

I had a double mastectomy for my TNBC about 2 years ago with saline implants. Did anyone else have to do touch ups?

Like NAnce my left implant (the tumor breast!) had issues almost immediately, namely there was bleeding there. It doesn't hurt or anything, but it coagulates and makes the area appear bigger and the implant hard. So it had to be removed and replaced with another implant. I had fat transplants, which go away. Most insurance companies give you a lot of chances to be happy with your outcome. I'm not thrilled with mine (weird gaps in my back, bulges under my armpits - both from bringing the latisse muscle around). I stopped trying to make it better with surgery. I'm hoping weight loss and toning my back will help with that.

My right implant has drooped down after only 4 months. I'm scheduled next month to have some scar tissue removed and get a lift.

I had double mastectomy with tissue expanders same time, for my TNBC, went thru 6 mths of chemo, then had the expanders removed in November 2012 (3 mths ago) and saline implant put in. nipple reconstruction end of Dec. 2012. still on the mend from this, but so far, i do not see too much of a difference in the affected side. just went to oncologist on Friday for my 3 mth post chemo exam and am concerned that she said they do not do any scans, nor did she draw blood to check levels. My diagnosis was TNBC Stage 1A and it had not spread to the lymph nodes. QUESTION FOR YOU: Did you GET PET SCANS/BONE SCANS, BLOOD WORK done? Or.. is TNBC not a cancer that would benefit from this. how can I catch reoccurance if no tests?
