      Marcia,

Surgery removed ALL the cancer cells. You are being paranoid, and you are going to be just fine.

All cancer is of the cells. The surgery you had removed tissue that contained cancerous cells. Unfortunately, there is not absolute answer about recurrence of cancer. There could still be cancerous cells remaining now that were not removed by surgery that would continue to divide and multiply. Or at some point in the future, normal cells could again mutate and become cancerous. Or you could remain cancer free for the rest of your life. Have you discussed this with your oncologist and any follow up treatment (e.g. chemotherapy, radiation, etc.).

Bladder cancer is one of the most likely to come back. I was clean for nine years before it did come back. The main thing is to get checked on a regular basis, BCG treatment has been proving to be beneficial.
