Hi Peggy, I don't mind you contacting me at all and I completely understand feeling alone. Friends & family can be very supportive and loving and all of that but when it comes down to it, you're the one with the disease. It's something people really can't 'get' unless you've been there. There are lots of mental hoops to jump through.
Sorry about your hair. Yikes! Your treatment must be a bit different from mine. Although my hair thinned considerably, it isn't so much that I'm ready to shave my head. I've heard from others that going bald makes the cancer very real for them and they feel like, "Crap! I'm really sick here." I hope that you're able to negotiate that okay.
I'm more than willing to communicate with you. It's good to have people to bounce things off of and vent. We can exchange emails if you like or we can just use this venue. I'll leave it up to you.
Know that you're not alone and that you can actually get used to having lung cancer and live happily and well.
