when I had such shortness of breath that I was panting just to sweep my kitchen...my hemoglobin was around 75 and ended up needing 2 pints of blood...this happened twice during my chemo ...blood transfusions are a miracle cure for energy when your hgb level drops so low

towards the end of my chemo treatments...I needed a special shot given in the abdomen...it was very expensive around $600 per week but luckily we live in an area that if your own medical insurance doesn't cover it the government will pay for most of this ....my husband was taught to give the shots.....it was amazing how the shots would bring the count up from around 2,500 to well over 15000 or higher

I think that the doctors will hit you with what they think gives you the best chance...I want to add to that you should read as much as you can on ways you can help your recovery and win in the battle against cancer...luckily my husband took on that role and made me raw diet smoothies using a very strong blender and made me easy to take cancer fighting raw veg drinks actually so thick I spooned them down..he used v8 juice as a base and added raw beets raw carrots raw asparagus raw apples and bananas..some days there was celery etc what ever he had in the fridge......these meals were the first meal of my day and I think led to my current no cancer status...and we continue.....my stage was 3 with a high possibility of recurrence....I am 11 months post chemo today
