Celebration (Finished treatment): I finished all treatment last week!I ended up having alumpectomy, and sentinel nodes were negative! I had a newer radiation treatment using a SAVI device implant that allows a5 day rad treatment and a very precise radiation. The Dr told me that rad treatment was a50/50 thing, I could decide either to have it or not. I decided to do it for 5 days. That's it, in done. Saw oncologist this week for first time, and she said she didn't need to see me again! Mammogram in 6 months. That's it!

I had my breast MRI today. Since I work in the lab at the hospital, I know the guy doing the test. I made him nervous and it took him 3 tries to get in my iv! I just laughed at him! Takes two days to get my results. Hopefully nothing different or extra shows up! Also told my boss. She hugged me so hard and she cried and I cried. If I can only see a year down the road---

You sound very positive about your choice. If I do a bilat, I'm not supposed to have to have rad or chemo either. Did you need follow up surgeries? What kind of mammograms do you get now? This sounds like something I might do, if I do any reconstruction.
