I was diagnosed with lymphatic vascular invasion in addition to the endometrial cancer in January 2012. Eight months after hysterectomy my cancer recurred in the vaginal area and will not respond to chemo. I didn't want to do radiation so my Doctor offered hormone therapy injections in high dosage. We left the tumor intact so we could physically see if the hormone treatments were working. After just one treatment and a lot of prayer my tumor didn't just shrink, it was gone. My doctor did have to test my "receptors" to see if the cancer would be likely to respond to this treatment. Fortunately my receptor numbers was good for the success of the treatment. The beauty about these injections is that it's treating the whole body which means its treating the lymphatic vascular cancer found. I've had seven treatments and now have bad side effects that the doctor said we have to reduce the dosage amounts. Side effects are manageable and I'm happy so far with these treatments as they have worked. I hope this helps you and sorry that anyone has to have their life turned upside down with cancer but having to face a recurrence is so very disheartening. I pray for you with all the decisions you have to make concerning your health. By the way...my Doctor would only offer hormone treatments for my cancer because my grade was not over 2 and my receptor numbers were good. Is there anyone that was diagnosed with LVSI or LVI in addition to your low grade endometrial cancer. I was told only a few women have this and that's why there is no known successful treatment for my cancer. I'm just so happy so far the hormone treatments seem to be working for me.

Side Effects (Fatigue (tiredness)): Headaches , nausea pointed to some serious health issues that may be occurring so they have reduced the dosage of treatment. The treatment has affected all medicines that I take for my thyroid so I'm now having to be seen every three weeks by my endocrinologist for evaluation.

Oh No (Cancer is back/Recurred ): My initial diagnosis was low grade, but when final pathology took place I had been diagnosed with lymphatic vascular spacial invasion in addition to the original low grade endometrial cancer. Then my cancer recurred less than 8 months after my surgery
