Procedure or Surgery (Double Mastectomy): Surgery scheduled for Feb. 14th. Happy Valentine's Day to me. (NOT!) It's too bad I'm BRCA1 positive because the chemo took care of the cancer. Wishing I was having a lumpectomy rather than bilateral mastectomy. I worked with DNA for several years in the lab, love genetics, love teaching genetics to my students...now it has come back to bite me in the butt (or boob).

I just noticed one of your posts. This is really random and I hope you don't mind me asking. But are you from Valparaiso, IN?? I think you might have been a year or two ahead of me in school and we may have a few mutual friends.
I am glad to read that you are doing well!
