motraveler I have been diagnosed with Graves Disease (1995). I hope once I get my thyroid levels checked, it will just be something simple like adjusting my meds.
      Thanks everyone!

I was diagnosed with Graves' disease 10 years ago and was really miserable and sick. Once I was diagnosed and had that radioactive iodine treatment I slowly started feeling better. I take synthroid everyday and see my endocrinologist every 6 months. I had my parathyroids (all 4) removed (they actually keep alittle piece of one because you need to have a small part of it)January 2013. I felt pretty crappy with hyperparathyrodism (this has nothing to do with your thyroid) my Graves' disease is under control but I understand your are never cured. I feel better but still have joint and bone pain becaue of the aromsin. Definitely have yiurnkebe,s checked regularly if you don't already. Best of luck

Hi, I had TCH regime for a year as well. Been on thyroid meds 35 years. Mine did need to be upped since treatment ended a year ago. I don't have Grave's but do experience joint pain, big time. Also, my hair & nails are barely recovering. I'm thinking more time may help. All the best, Barb
