I am very sorry for your loss. From what you described, it sounds as if she died from pneumonia. I'm not sure what your question is.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for sharing the story with us all. I'm assuming the breast cancer she had in 2008 was probably Stage 3? Anyway, there is probably something each of us can learn from this info.
Something I feel but don't hear about much on these blogs or anywhere else: for me to come to terms with a cancer diagnosis, then loss of both breasts, I had to accept the possibility, and the peace, of death. We're here temporarily and we all know that. Yet some of us, most of us, feel cheated if we or someone we love dies before we think they should be due to die. I sure wish more people would have a discussion about acceptance and peace and quality of life. I wish that for myself more than fighting and pain. But then, I'm nowhere near Stage 4 and never have been, and don't want to clain to be in that same boat.
My mother suffered in a nursing home for 16 1/2 years. I've come to believe that going relatively quickly is a great blessing; one many of us don't know how to accept.
Still, it was good of you to remind us all of the need for diligence so that we may make the best possible choices for ourselves.
