    Hi Susie81610
I am a woman who had Esophageal Cancer and yes its rare! Squamous Cell Carcinoma that is HPV positive is even more rare! I've been getting all my treatments at The Mayo Clinic. They told me I am NOT the stereotype for this disease. Its usually found in older people especially Males. Most are heavy smokers/drinkers. I am very lucky that it was found early at a stage 1.
