Oh No (I awoke having trouble seeing and horrible stiff/painful neck. I quickly was barely able to see. I needed someone to guide me out to see the doc. I was soon in the ER and after a spinal tap, diagnosed with spinal meningitis. Soon after I was told, “you kn): It was a crazy AM. I thought maybe I was anemic. My idiot doc sent a message along saying he thought I had allergies. I kept hearing comments questioning his credentials. I then had a seizure when the blood transfusion didn’t agree with me.

Other Care (Hospitalization): About a month after transplant and discharge, I developed Sepsis. I had been receiving home care and it was thought that it occurred at some point in the IV process. Who knows? I just know how sick I was.

Clinical Trial (An AML stem cell transplant drug trial): I was accepted into the trial because one doc stood up for me. I was too old at 61 and there was fear that I would die and wreck the results.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Without my chemo I doubt I would have made it. I was lucky to have been accepted into a clinical trial at UCLA and had a kick-XXX doc.

Procedure or Surgery (Implant chemotherapy port): I was premeditated through IV and was told to sign the authorization form when I was barely able to see. I had no idea I had brain surgery. I had a small stroke that has left me with a tremor in my rt hand and headaches.
