Ashera, I read a comment you posted about a chest pump you had for chest lymphedema. I’m dealing with this now. I’m 65 and am on Medicare & I have to leap over tall buildings before they’ll pay for it. Where did you get your pump and how much did it cost? Any info would be appreciated. Also do you wear a compression sleeve for your chest area? I’ve been looking for something like that.

Radiation (External radiation ): I am on my 20th treatment out of 35. My burn is getting pretty severe and painful. Not much help from the dr. He only suggests over the counter remedies, which ARE NOT WORKING and it continues to get worse with each daily treatment.

Have you tried using a good moisturiser 3 - 4 times per day. I used to just quickly go into the BR put it on as a matter of routine then carry on. It helped a lot.

Yes I tried many things: cetaphil soap, aquaphor ointment, Frankincense, tea tree oil, copaiba oil, Jergens Ultra Healing lotion. I’ve also started taking Aleve, which has helped. But now I’m having a lot of trouble even swallowing that small pill. It’s getting stuck in my throat. Having trouble swallowing tiny bits of water. It just won’t go down. I’m getting discouraged

I have finally decided to take a few days off from radiation treatment because of the severity of radiation burn and the fact that it is affecting my ability to swallow food, making it very painful. Dr has give me Magic Mouthwash to deaden my throat but it still hurts when swallowing my food.

Procedure or Surgery (Double Mastectomy): Had problems with drains stopping up, but once they were removed, recovery went extremely well.
