My 84 year old father has his final immunotherapy appointment coming up next week. The was a successful two year treatment for stage 4 melanoma. We are extremely happy and feel blessed.

Side Effects: Now about a year into immunotherapy my father is doing very well. No side effects and metasizd lesion in lungs have disappeared. He now has treatment once a month for half an hour. Fingers crossed all continues well.

We received exciting news yesterday after my father went to the oncologist to discuss the results of his first CT scan after beginning immunotherapy three months ago for his melanoma. The nodules that had metasized to his lungs have disappeared! He does have asymptomatic pneumonitis which may need treatment. However that is the first side he has had, so we are grateful. Long may it continue!
