I take Tamoxifin (an estrogen blocker) and the side effects I have are thinning nails and hot flashes. I have been taking this for almost a year and so far no new tumors have appeared. Hope this helps.

Hi Coopcrew.
I tried to find the source of the report about Avastin. It was reported on
August 272012 on Cancer.Net from a study from the American Clinical Society of Oncology.
The headline was
Adding Bevacizumab to Chemotheraphy Keeps Ovarian Cancer from Worsening Longer than Chemotheraphy Alone.
the second study was entitled
Bevacizumab Helps Treat Recurrent and Newly-Diagnosed Ovarian Cancer. The first item I read was the USA Today one which stated that although Avastin isn't approved for Ovarian Cancer,
Drs can prescribe it off label.
I hope this is of use to you.
Wishing you well -

My sister asked about it but I think the cost may be a problem
