Clinical Trial: I was set up for a clinical trail through the Mayo Clinic on January 18, 2012 and they never contacted me. I suppose to start on the trail around March.

Radiation (Internal radiation): When not hearing from the Mayo for a month I switched my care to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago. They put me in different combinations of drugs to see if any where effective but they did not work. I then did therasphere where radioactive beads were injected into my liver to see if it would "clean it up". I will find out tomorrow if it worked.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I started with Oxally and 5FU but after 6 treatments had a reaction to it and was taken off, then was started on irrinotican and 5FU until surgery. After surgery 6 more treatments of that then when the cancer came back I was put back on the Oxally for 6 treatments during this time I would be in a hospital bed and it was infused to 10 hours for one sitting, the cancer continued to grow so was switched to irrinotacan for 6 treaments it again contnued to grow was then sent home by Mayo and was told to wait to be called for a clinical trail. I was never contacted again. That was January 18, 2012. I have been told there is a new chemo drug for colon cancer coming out since this past November and I am patiently waiting to try it.

Procedure or Surgery (Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)): After 18 month of chemotherapy I sent my own scans to the Mayo Clinic to see if I could have surgery. In the beginning I was told I could not and was given 6 months to live. There I had 80% of my liver removed, 1 foot of colon 11 lymph nodes and my gallbladder removed. It was a 2 week recovery in the hospital and was clean from cancer for 5 months.

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): I went to the doctor for my yearly physicals and told them of stomach aches that I would get. No type of food seemed to trigger it and it would happen once or twice a month. I was treated for stomach ulcers, woman issues, bad gallbladder but it continued to happen. When I would jog I would get a side ache. I finally switched doctors and she had me diagnoised in two days with stage IV colon cancer.
