When do you start treatment. Are you seeing a specialist?

Aren't they just different words for the same thing? My current chemotherapy is a capsule I take every day. I have had 2 other forms of chemo; one was a twice-weekly injection and one was Melphalan to kill my bone marrow for a stem cell transplant. They are all chemotherapy drugs.

Decision Point (My light chain numbers continue to go up, so at some point my Myeloma will be back.i have decided I will not do chemo again. At least now I have some good days and I can live on my own.)

I know what you mean about being in remission but not feeling well half the time. It took Drs 8 months to diagnose me and I ended up with 5 compression fractures in my back. I was a very active person and have given up a lot. I’m in remission but am on maintenance chemo and pain meds which help but don’t make the pain go away. My greatest joy are my kids and grandkids so I keep trying new ways of dealing with the pain. I have just started acupuncture so we’ll see how that goes. But there are times it’s so hard to keep it up so I understand your decision . All I can say is keep an open mind you never know what new treatments will come out. That’s what I hope and pray for. Keep an open mind. All the best to you.
