It's the last thing you expect until you hear it. After my doctor told me that my biopsy results were cancerous, he talked for a good 15 minutes and I didn't hear a word. All I could hear was what sounded like the adults voices on the old Charlie Brown cartoons. I think I almost passed out entirely. I took the bus home and got on the wrong one and rode around the county for about three hours before I realized where I was and went home. It gets easier after the news sinks in, but it all takes time to process.

Hi, it's been a year since my diagnosis. I've had chemo, radiation plus chemo. Surgery. Permanent colostomy. And tomorrow I will start chemo again. If I can answer any questions feel free to ask. I wish you well.
