Regarding stress, find meditational music or do some walking or a little weight lifting if levels are high. I exercised in between treatments to de-stress.
As a musician, I also love playing piano. I can get totally engrossed into a piece of music and forget about the stressors in my life. I found out that stress generates cortisol; which in turn, can cause weight gain. I also did a sleep study prior to cancer diagnosis and now wear a CPAP in my sleep. For some strange reason, I had a weight loss when wearing the CPAP, possibly because there is a connection between good sleep and weight loss. Usually, one has to do a sleep study, especially if snoring is an issue (I do it!) and then get the CPAP mask/device for better breathing while sleeping.
Is there a slow releasing medication for diabetes? I suppose it could be dangerous if a low sugar level happens.

This also happened to me. My dr.add byette it's just one more thing but it seems to be working. But I couldn't understand it either because I couldn't even eat anything maybe a ensure but most of it is the meds.

Thank you all for your responses. It helps so much to know your stories. I will be sure to share all with my husband. It will make him feel not so alone. Tomorrow he sees his Endo, PCP and Surgeon so hopefully they can work together along with the Oncologist so he can get his sugar levels down.
