Oh No (Cancer is back/Recurred ): About 2 years after my original diagnosis (for which only surgery and a Sentinel Lymph Node Test were needed), the melanoma recurred. The second time, it was in my lymph nodes under my left armpit. It required a total lymphectomy plus chemo.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): After 9-1/2 months I had to stop the chemo. My doctor had wanted me to do it for a full year, but my body could not handle it.

Procedure or Surgery (Sentinel lymph node biopsy): Sentinel Node test was incredibly painful, which I did not expect.
