Was diagnosed in September 2011 from a mole on left side. Surgery done in December 2011. Received "tape" burns from surgery, had to wait for burns to heal before any treatment was started. Began radiation and Temodar in April 2012. After 20 sessions of radiation/Temodar combo it was apparent it wasn't working. Had biopsy done on left arm pit, positive, started Zelboraf end of May. Was on it for 2 days before massive side effects. Stayed on it for two months. Another scan, mel now in right lung and kidney. Continued on Zelboraf til end of July, had another scan. Mel spread to both lungs, both kidneys and liver. From the beginning had skin mets on left side and left thigh. After Zelboraf, now have more skin mets on left side, left thigh, left lower back, lower left chest and pelvic region (over 200 skin mets in all). In August started Ipi. Had two doses so far and new mets still appearing.
