Oh No (Problem with doctor): My surgeon moved after my 6 week check up. And I was referred to Dr Miller at James Brown Cancer Center. At which he told me I was cured and cancer free at year and half. Was shocked and asked him if this is true what about the 2on my back that were biopsies and came back precancerous melanoma. He just laughed and told me that he had 40 yrs of research and he wasn't going to debate with me. I said I wasn't asking for a debate just an honest answer! He walked out Saud come back in three months and he'd see me for free if I didn't like his answer other wise he'd see me in 6 months. I didn't go back. I don't need to be made feel stupid when my family Dr told me to have a spot checked out and Dr Miller said no. I feel like because I have no ins I am being shoved aside!

Side Effects (Mood changes): I feel guilty because I didn't receive any treatment other than surgery. There were no trials available at the time. So I feel like I should not mention it or talk about it! And honestly no one cared or cares to talk about it. Like if we don't it either isn't important or doesn't need to be talked about!

feel guitly to even say anything about it, seems like I should just forget it and go on as if it hasn't or doesn't exist.

Side Effects (Lymphedema): my arm hurts and swells after a day of usage of any kind, granted it isn't severe like the pictures I have seen, but I wear a compression sleeve and that helps when it doesn't leave bruises on the lymph nde scar.

Decision Point (to stop having scans and being seen): my husband lost his business 3 yrs ago and we lost our insurance in the process. we wiped out our savings just to live on, then this happened . He now has a job of 5 months he has ins. but we don't make enough to get ons on me yet. still praying trhat will happen soon.

Celebration (Birthday): I am thankful I have made it one year. have 2 more precancer melanoma places that need to be removed but it will have to wait. so am thankful I am still here. Can't share this with very many they don't want to deal with it. wish i didn't have to either. celebrated by myself.
